Must Visit Food Store: Longga-Niche-Ah

From Crunchy Pancit Longga, Cheesy Longga Balls to Longganisa with rice and egg, Longga-Niche-Ah  offers a yummy selection of Longganisa dishes. Wondering what’s my ultimate fave? Cheesy Longga Balls with garlic sauce, for the win! Yummy!

It was founded by gorgeous couple Bianca Pauline and Ex-PBB Housemate Joe Vargas. Freshly made from Cabanatuan, these home-made longganisa was then a regular gift to Joe's mom from Bianca way before the store launched. The concept, menu and everything was accidentally but fruitfully made out of bed, carefully curated by the couple and some talented minds and voila, Longga-Niche-Ah was born!

True to it’s name, ‘niche’ means best fit to anything. Longganisa can be paired with rice, bread, pancit and even as pulutan with your cold beer! Correct, they offer alcoholic drinks as well!

Get to its global twist with the choices of sauces too! Salisbury (US), Teriyaki (Japan), and Pinoy’s classic Suka. How cool is that?

Instagrammable Desserts and Drinks at Brother's Blends

Not only for your IG feed but also for you to feed your craving taste buds!

Here's a little background of Brother's Blends before it skyrocketed the market at it's first store at Buendia Food by the Court. Bryan (co-owner) started to sell cold-pressed juices infused in a bottle to different companies in Ayala. He was then working as a nurse then eventually became an entreprenuer together with his brother, Kevin Factor (co-owner). Awesome right?

What's more is their nice food presentation. Planning to order from them on your next food park visit? Here are some ideas:

Charcone Ash Froyo

The main ingredient of this Ice cream is Ashitaba (It's a healthy green plant which they usually use with their desserts and drinks) that will surprisingly tickle your food indulgence. At first we thought it was actually Avocado or something like green tea. How's that for a new healthy discovery?

Fresh Ashitaba Plant

Bucket Honey Iced Tea

They make everything: from the cone, ashitaba and oolong tea that is brewed for 16 hours.

Frappe for 2

Like they always say, there's no magic- just pure skills and from mother nature. They meticulously mix the quintessential healthy ingredients and insta-worthy presentation that makes them a sure hit to the public.

The Coconut Ice Cream topped with jackfruit, peanuts and sauces charmingly served on a coconut shell or Bao. It's fresh and 100% organic!

My boyfriend with his mom and sister, enjoying their bucket honey iced tea.

It's interesting that they keep on innovating new desserts and drinks that will inspire you and support local products!

Trying Out Chinese and Japanese Foods: Little Kodo and Shangkee

I've been gaining weight lately. I know, I know.. I've been eating a lot and visiting Buendia Food by the Court every now and then but ain't got no complains, people! I loved eating there anyway.

One thing I'm hooked about this food park is the global twist with the food stalls that are present in the area.  Like when you're in the mood to try Japanese foods, your taste buds yearns Chinese delicacies or you're just hungry and want to try something new. Whatever you feel like eating or whatever floats your boat, there's 20 stores to fill your hungry tummy!

For this blog post, I'll show you what my favorite foodies from their Japanese and Chinese food stalls!

Shangkee Chinese Buns Delicacies

Everybody knows Siopao but have you heard Chinese people’s staple food, Cuapao? You'll miss half of your life if you won't discover this, I tell you. It’s an all-day meal: for breakfast, lunch, snack or dinner - anytime of the day! It’s very handy that you can just grab a bite anywhere you are.

The next best thing is the price! It's only 150php - so worth it for a Jumbo Cuapao!
You can choose between Crispy Chicken, Peppery Beef, Chicken Teriyaki, Pulled Pork, All American, Ham and Cheese and all-time fave Classic Pork Belly!

Classic Pork Belly

If you're into Japanese foods, there's Little Kodo at this food park!

Takoyaki  P70
(Japanese Balls) Minced Veggies with bits of Octopus) 4pcs

My pick from them is the Takoyaki! It’s Siksik and sulit! It’s soft and tasty too. You know, I’m very picky whenever I eat Takoyaki since some Japanese food stalls doesn’t have much fillings inside. I tried a LOT of it from different stores from anywhere already (It's my go-to food, btw) but this one from Little Kodo is definitely one of the best I’ve tasted.

Okonoiyaki  P150
Japanese Pancake (mixed veggies with bacon)
My second fave! Everyone should try this.

Ramen P150
pork or chicken noodles with creamy soup

Ramen, Donburi, Gyoza, Sushi and other Japanese streets foods are there waiting for you too!

Owner of Little Kodo

Look no further and visit everyone's fave food park, Buendia Food by the Court. I can't wait for these two stores to expand and grow to different branches and reach the South too! (I'm from the South, fyi)

How to Look Taller in Photos 101

"Ang liit mo pala in person?"
"Abot ka ba ng 5 feet?"
Those reactions are understated since Im really short. And people I meet for the first time always wonder why I look a little taller in photos. (I'm 5'1) It's all in the pose and angle, dude!

Sharing you some tips and tricks in this blog post. Read on!

Tip#1: Cross your feet and point your toes like a ballerina. It creates longer legs.

Tip#2: Butt out, torso up! Forget about the bust. I dont have one. Charot!  But seriously, the secret of a graceful body is posture. Stretching up your body like your torso can make you appear taller and confident at the same time.

Tip#3: The one taking your photos should be on a lower level. Either he/she's sitting while taking your photos or just place the camera lower than his/her eye level. Esp when you take photos using an
iPhone or Android phones, anything from the bottom and upper part of your photos will stretch. I'm sure you noticed this one already.

Tip #4: Show them your neck. The more longer, the more you'll look tall.

Tip #5: Accentuate your most favorite part of your body and avoid loose clothes. Anything baggy will make you look shorter.

Tip #6: Inhale and hold your breath. Exhale when the camera shutter did its duty already.

Tip #7: Tiptoe :) My favorite hack when posing.

Tip #8: When you're included in group photos, keep in mind that the person closer to the camera will appear taller than the one farther from the camera. You know what to do. But beware, it can also make you appear heavier.

Tip #9: Apply everything and voila! You'll be taller in photos. *wink wink* Just don't forget to also know your angles and examine your body proportions.

So there! I love sharing tips whenever I have talks/seminars but I'd love to share it with you, one-on-one too! If you have any questions, PM me or drop a comment.
