Whipped: Skin Care Tips

I can't believe I'm on my late 20s! Time flies fast - my priorities changes, little by little B&W clothes replaces my colorful wardrobe, I had to double up my skin care regimen and that I should take good care of my skin even more this time.

I agree that make-up can hide some flaws and with the right products, it can enhance your features and even get your glow on! But do you really want your real skin to hide all the time?  Whipped taught me so many things about skin care and I'm sharing you some tips on how to achieve that perfect glow!

1. Want to have that clean and clear skin? Learn how to scrub and get rid of your impurities and dead skin cells. It even out your skin tone as well, removing dark patches. It helps lightening unwanted body marks or scars.

2. Exfoliate with the right products. It will make your skin feel like porcelain and will become rosy and will achieve that glow.

3. One of the main reason why your skin doesn't look nice is because it lacks hydration. Drink plenty of water and see how that simple act can do wonders.

4. Have you tried waxing? Leave it to the professional if you're not comfortable doing it alone. Shaving is not good for the skin, fyi.

5. Don't get serviced for waxing when you're peeling. It can cause your skin to bleed, damage and irritated. Our skin naturally exfoliates itself. Don't overdo or push it to do more.

and lastly

6. Display confidence. Do not neglect your appearance. If you have it, flaunt it!

Getting Fit at CrossFit MNL

"Uy, tumaba ka!" For body conscious people, it's not a compliment. Sacrificing carbs, chocolates and other fatty foods is no joke and all they say when you get to meet again is ...you get fat? Ouch!
We all have that goal of having a perfectly fit body with curves in the right places.

Well, my body is not perfectly toned. I may have an athletic figure where I can make my abs visible within a week of a hell in the gym. (It's inborn, tysm genes) Yet, I'm not blessed with a Victoria's Secret model frame (meaning I'm a bit flat-chested and I have zero behind) Lol.  That's too much, but it's close to that, haha! I don't regularly go to the gym but whenever there's a specific event or that time of the month when we expect lots of food (Hello, December!), I drag my sister and go exercise!

Normally, I just do threadmill, sit-ups and a bit of weight liftings. But this experience from Crossfit MNL- Alabang is different! They had this so called Bootcamp -WOD.

My sister and I were a bit late but we first had stretching and warm-ups before it actually started. I didn't actually knew there's a proper way of doing the squats, the overhead squat actually. Thanks to our coach, he really did a great job teaching us the right way (step by step).

Then the met con. We had to run for 4 minutes (200m run) outside then another 6 minutes doing the Bar touches(6x), air squats (3x) and 10m run sprint for as many rounds as possible!

Fellow bloggers

Our skill level is probably zero that time but according to our coach, as we put more intensity, we will progress further.

Super handsome coach Sid Salazar teaching us everything we had to learn about getting fit.

Okay, I thought we can exercise intensely everyday but he told us to make our bodies rest too. We can do 2 or 3 times a week but never 7 times a week.

My sister and Coach Sid

Healthy packed meals for us, bloggers!

Remember, it's not always about getting sweaty in the gym. We also have to watch what we are eating.

Oh, Reebok! I'm also wearing Reebok OOTD that time, talk about coincidence!

Less Painful Waxing Treatment at Whipped!

I rarely wear pants – usually you’ll see me wearing either shorts or skirt. Why? It’s because I love to show off my legs! And when legs come into the scene, a smooth, fresh, hairless and clean skin is a must.  I’m naturally “balbon” and I really do have a hard time shaving my legs since it grows out so fast compare to waxing. It can only last for a week and sometimes, it tends to appear drier. So when I received an invite from Whipped Salon, I did not have second thoughts!

Whipped is a sugar waxing and scrub salon owned by Ms. Bing Fabi. They have variety of waxing services (for underarm, legs, upper lip, bikini, legs, arms, chest and back) and body scrub to choose from. Plus you get to choose scents from Vanilla, Strawberry and Orange too! I looked through their prices and they're really affordable.

For my first session, I decided to go to their branch at Alabang Town Center.
When I entered the salon, I took photos right away. The spots there even at the waiting area are very blogger friendly! With all those cutesy stuff, candy-colored center pieces and homey ambiance, everyone who visited or will visit Whipped will for sure never leave without a photo.

Even the hallway going to the rooms are very IG and FB post worthy! I think I took shots in every corner, haha!

The room is so clean and I really love their choice of colors!

It's like sugar and spice and everything nice.

Okay, so I tried the full leg sugar waxing on my session. The therapist was very kind enough to answer all my questions. She even allowed my sister to stay inside the room with me to take photos and videos for my blog docu.

They use sugar wax with a mix of lemon/calamansi. FYI, it's a perfect ingredient that acts as a natural bleaching agent that is good for any skin discoloration. It made me think that Whipped really is the best waxing place for me!

The therapist is so gentle but very keen in removing the hairs on my legs. No sugar coated included but I felt no pain! I even enjoyed the process! :)

It took us 20 minutes to get my full legs hair-free. It's so fast yet so polished. After the session, I stayed in the salon for like five minutes more. I do have a very sensitive skin and the redness is very noticeable. Yet, I can't resist but to feel the smoothness already and I loved it!

Legs for days! haha!

It's an amazing experience and a good start to change my shaving habit. I would definitely recommend them for their affordable and quality services.

I'm loving the confidence this brought me :)  I can't wait to be back next month! Waxing here at Whipped is less painful so if you want to experience a less painful waxing treatment too,
